「Real Portrait（リアルな肖像）」
都会の喧騒と静寂、光と翳。相反するものが同居する。
これは翳に属するもの、その肖像。
静かに佇む。表にはっきりと現れない表情。
直接的ではない、分かりにくいもの。
それこそが私自身を反映したリアルな肖像なのである。
原点に立ち返り自身の在り方、考え方を描いた作品。

この作品は、１人の写真家として原点に立ち戻った、私自身にとっても１つの指針となるような作品です。高校生の頃に写真家を志すきっかけとなり、写真家として最も影響を受けた、牛腸茂雄の存在が大きな原動力となりました。

私自身が純粋に美しいと思える瞬間、表現したいもの。
たとえそれが「分かりにくく、見過ごされてしまうようなもの」であったとしても、私にとってはそれこそが紛れもなく美しいと思える瞬間なのです。
これは私なりの静かな抵抗であり、意思表示でもあります。

また今回の作品は、「パーソナルなスペースでひっそりと観てもらえるように」という想いも込めて、ウェブギャラリーという形式を選びました。
ランディングページのデザインの方向性においては、視覚的表現として最も影響を受けた70sのグラフィカルなレコードジャケットをモチーフにしています。
ページは写真集のように、白の余白を生かした構成を意識しました。

The hustle and bustle, and the silence of the city, light and shade. Opposites cohabit.
This belongs to the shade, its portrait.
It stands quietly. An expression that does not clearly appear on the surface.
Not direct, and difficult to understand.
This is a real portrait that reflects myself.
This work expresses my way of being and thinking, returning to the starting point.

This is a work that I created back to basics as a photographer, and it is one that serves as a guideline for me.
Shigeo Gocho, who inspired me to pursue photography when I was a high school student and had the greatest influence on me as a photographer, was a major motive power in the creation of this work.

The moment that I find genuinely beautiful, the things I want to express.
Even if they are “difficult to understand and overlooked”, they are undeniably beautiful moments to me.
This is my own quiet resistance and expression of intention.

I chose the form of web gallery for this work with the hope that people will be able to look at this quietly in their own personal space.
In the direction of landing page design, the motif is based on the 70s graphical record jackets, which were the most influential in terms of visual expression.
I was also conscious of a composition that utilized white margins like a photo book.

東京を拠点に活動するフォトグラファー。
東京ビジュアルアーツ写真学科を卒業後、スタジオアシスタントを経てamana inc.に入社。
2015年より独立し、現在はカタログや雑誌でファッション、ポートレートを中心に活動する。
今回制作したPhoto Galleryというパーソナルスペースを通して、今後もコンスタントに作品を発表する予定。

A photographer based in Tokyo.
After graduating from the Photography Department of TOKYO VISUAL ARTS, he started to work as a studio assistant and then joined amana inc..
He has been independent since 2015 and currently focuses on fashion and portraits for catalogs and magazines.
He is going to continue to consistently present his work through the personal space Photo Gallery he created for this project.
